Processing of Personal Data

The Services as defined in the Terms of Use and this website under the control of ESET are governed by this Privacy Policy. Generally, You may use our websites for information purposes without giving personal information and informing ESET who you are. The exclusive content may only be limited to registered visitors. When you register for the ESET World (“Event”), we need to collect and process personal data included in the registration form for the purposes of registration, organization of the Event and operation of this web site as follows

• Personal data included in the registration form, such as name a surname, email, job title, company, country that may only be used for the planning of the Event and its parts, distribution of materials regarding the Event as well as delivery of limited number of reminders and notifications concerning the schedule of Event and new content publication. If the Event is not organized as the virtual one only, additional information such as flight details, check-in/out dates and times and accommodation preferences may be required in order to provide assistance with travel and accommodation arrangements. The retention period shall not exceed 6 months after end of the Event.
• Viewing Statistics may only be used internally for the purpose of the improvement of the website, content and user experience in general. Viewing statistics may include the information concerning video streams.
• To make our website and Services work properly, We may store some cookies to your web browser, either when You visit our website, when You log into your Account or when You use a certain Service. By default, We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for functioning of our website and Services requested by You. • consent when it comes to cookies used by our site,
• compliance with legal obligation e.g. stipulating requirements for electronic communication and accounting.

Data Confidentiality

ESET is a company operating worldwide via affiliated entities or partners as part of our distribution, service and support network. Information processed by ESET may be transferred to and from affiliated entities or partners for performance of the Terms, for provision of services or for support or assistance. Based on your location and service You choose to use, We might be required to transfer your data to a country with absence of adequacy decision by the European Commission. ESET is subject to regulation of Slovak laws and We are bound by data protection legislation as a member state of European Union. Subject to certain limitations stated in data protection legislation. every Data subject is entitled to the following rights:

• right to request access to your personal data from ESET,
• right to rectification of your personal data if inaccurate (You also have the right to have incomplete personal data amended),
• right to request erasure of your personal data,
• right to request restriction processing of your personal data,
• right to object to processing as well as,
• right to data portability,
• right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
